By TIM BURLESON
GRANTS PASS, OR - The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) will be doing some road work on the Grants Pass Parkway.
Known as the Grants Pass Parkway Renovation project, the project will consist of grinding and paving the Parkway from Interstate 5 at Exit 55 to the South Y. ODOT says the road work will take place at night from 7pm to 7am.
Work is scheduled to begin April 24. This first part of the project consist of "pipe work and utility prep" at Agness and will proceed toward the Debb Potts Bridge until completed.
The grinding and paving portion of the project is tentatively scheduled for May 1-15 at night. According to ODOT there will be no paving at cross street intersections. Work on the Parkway between I-5 and the F St. intersection will result in signals being turned off at night. At those times traffic will be subject to flagger control. The traffic signals will remain on during the day.
Intersections located within the project may be subject to intermittent closures.
