City seeks applications for Urban Area Planning Commission
CITY OF GRANTS PASS
URBAN AREA PLANNING COMMISSION
REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS
A member of the Urban Area Planning Commission will resign in December. The Grants Pass City Council will soon be filling this vacancy.
The purpose of this Commission is to review and render a decision on all Type III Land Use Applications: including zone changes, subdivisions, Planned Unit Developments, and major variances. The Commission also reviews and recommends to the City Council action on all Type IV Land Use requests, including Comprehensive Plan Amendments and Development Code Text Amendments.
ALL INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY
Applicants must reside in the City of Grants Pass or its Urban Growth Boundary area, according to Council Resolution No. 4126.

The term of appointment is two years. The deadline for applications is Thursday, December 28, 2006. Applicants will be interviewed by the Council on Tuesday, January 2, 2007, during the noon workshop. Appointments will be made by the Council at the City of Grants Pass Council meeting on Wednesday, January 3, 2007.
